Zaiwan Yang passed away September 8, 2018 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, Washington.

Zaiwan was born on June 15, 1936 in Jiaojiang, Zhejiang, China to Jiquan Yang and Cailin Lu. His brothers Zaixuan and Zaiyi preceded him in death.

Zaiwan graduated from Tai Zhou High School in 1954. Upon graduation from Fudan University in 1958, he became a research scientist for China Academy of Science. He was recognized for his work in RNA/DNA. He retired as a professor after spending his entire career there. He married Guoying Zhou in 1961. They had one son Yuan (Steve) Yang and one daughter Lei (Cynthia) Yang.

Zaiwan loved traveling, gardening, photography, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. He was an amateur photographer recognized by many people. He and Guoying lived at various times on Camano Island and in Shanghai, China.

He is survived by his wife Guoying, son Yuan and his wife Chun and their daughter Linda, daughter Lei and her husband Jun and their son TenYu, and his sister Zaihui.

再完先生于1936年6月15日出生于中国浙江省椒江市。父亲杨汲泉和母亲卢彩玲,兄弟杨再宣和杨再宜均已经仙逝。

再完先生于1954年毕业于台州中学。并于1958年获得上海复旦大学学位后成为中国科学院研究员。他因在RNA / DNA方面的工作而获得国家认可。他在那里度过了他的整个职业生涯后退休。他于1961年与周国英结婚。他们育有一个儿子杨渊和一个女儿杨蕾。

再完先生喜欢旅游,园艺,摄影,烹饪以及与家人和朋友共度时光。他是一位业余摄影师,得到了很多人的认可。他和妻子国英曾在美国华盛顿州卡曼诺岛和中国上海的不同时间生活过。

他的妻子周国英,儿子杨渊和他的妻子吕春以及他们的女儿杨琳达,女儿杨蕾和她的丈夫王骏以及他们的儿子王腾宇,再完先生的妹妹杨再华仍然健在。
