William C. Reid was born in Chicago, September 22, 1927 and he died February 14, 2010 at Evergreen Hospice Care after a fall caused by a 10-year battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Bill served in the US Navy 1945 - 1949.
He graduated from Arizona State University, then moved to Juneau, Alaska, where he lived for several years. In 1960, he moved with his wife and children to Wenatchee. There he worked for the Social Security Administration for 27 years, providing faithfully for his family until he and his wife retired to Camano Island in 1989.
Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Virginia, on Camano Island, his children, David Fullen of Camano Island, Ellen (Pat) Prichard of Vancouver, Claire (Bill) Fowler of Yakima, Dan (Janell) Fullen of Stanwood, Phillip (Stephanie) Reid of Coupeville, and 11 grandchildren.
A memorial is planned for June, when the family will gather to commemorate Bill's life and scatter his ashes, and those of his beloved dog, Trinket, at his favorite spot in the world, Lake Chelan.
