William R "Bill" Pontious 68, of Arlington, died Monday, December 24, 2012 at his home in Arlington with his family at his side.

Bill was born in Chehalis, WA and lived at his family operated funeral home in his early years.

Bill has been a carpenter and project manager for Daviscourt, Bridgeway and Belfor Construction for 41 Years. He never missed a day of work, and was always the first one to arrive and the last one to leave.

Bill's personality was consistently cheerful, infecting those around him with laughter and joy. He was always willing to lend a hand and offer help to those in the insurance world.

Bill will be missed and remembered with much love.

His passions in life were his family, cooking, gardening, his dogs, chickens, and all animals. He loved traveling to South America, Europe, and throughout the United States. Las Vegas was one of his favorite places, and Bill's love of gambling often brought rewards.

Bill is survived by his wife Shelly, children Sean, Travis and wife Dawn, brother Dev and wife Malena, sister Kiley and husband Ron, step-son Brent and his wife Kandy, step-daughter Kaylee and her fiance Brent, grandchildren Ashley, Tawnie, Briana, and Trevor, nephews Jason and Mikah, and countless friends.

His wife would like to thank the Providence hospice team for all the care given to Bill.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Saturday January 5, at The Church of the Nazarene 1900 N 175th , Shoreline, WA. With a reception to follow.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
