Wanda G. Brodland was born on April 18, 1944 to Walter and Geraldine Brodland in Mount Vernon, WA. She passed away peacefully at Josephine Sunset Home in Stanwood, WA on January 26, 2014.
Wanda attended Mount Vernon Schools and lived at home until her parents passed away. She moved to Everett and worked at Diversified Industries in various positions. She was able to have her own apartment with the help of Sunrise Services' staff.
Wanda was able to travel to many places through the Trips Unlimited Company. Her favorite trip was to Branson, Missouri.
She came to live at Josephine Sunset Home in May of 2011. She loved living there and was very well cared for by the staff.
Through-out her life, Wanda loved family and friends. She never forgot a name or a birthday. She loved to celebrate holidays and loved to send and receive cards.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Geraldine. She is survived by her sister, Ruth M. Robertson of Lake McMurray, WA and her brother, Gerald Brodland (Darlene) of Sedro Woolley, WA. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Gilbertson's Funeral Home in Stanwood, WA on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11:00am. A graveside service will be held immediately after at Fir Conway Cemetery in Milltown, WA.
The family suggests donations to Josephine Sunset Home in lieu of flowers.
