Obituary

Virginia A. Anderson, 93, of Stanwood passed away Friday, October 26, 2018. Virginia was born April 28, 1925 in the Bryant area and lived her entire life in Stanwood. She worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" during WWII. Later she was employed by Twin City Foods and retired from the Stanwood-Camano School District.

Virginia met her future husband at a dance in Conway when she was 17, weeks before he left for WWII. On September 15, 1945, just ten days after he returned, they were married and enjoyed 63 years together before his death.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Les; sisters Dorothy and Lois, Son-in-law Frank Hatch and grandson Barney Graff. She is survived by sister June Johnson and brother Harlen Hansen, son Lonnie Anderson (Marlene), daughters Marlene Crisp (Lisa), Rosanne Johnson, and Lorraine Hatch and twelve special grandchildren and their families as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Making everyone she met into a cherished friend was just one of Virginia's special gifts. She will be missed by many.

Our family would like to extend our appreciation to the entire Warm Beach staff for their wonderful care and friendship.
