IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Vincent
Composano
August 23, 1950 – January 24, 2020
Vincent Composano passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by family on Friday, January 24th, 2020. He was born August 23, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York, to Agnes and Louis Composano. He grew up in Levittown, Long Island, New York.
He graduated high school from Union Free School District #5, Levittown High School, June 1968. He joined the Air Force August 1969, where he was an Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic at McGuire AFB, New Jersey. After an Honorable discharge in March 1976, he began to make his way to Washington state with his family. He took a few different jobs, till he was hired at The Boeing Company, where he worked for 36 years, and retired in October 2016. Vinny was loved by many, as he was well respected in his career at the Boeing Company. His job as an Aircraft Inspector he made sure the aircraft was built correctly. He worked well with his team and all the people who touched his life.
Once in Washington, Vinny became an avid outdoorsman. He became an avid hunter with his friend Mark, and with his brother Jerry. They spend many hours out deer hunting and elk hunting. He loved all activities if it took him to the woods, even if it meant that was just an afternoon drive. He found peace in the woods and back country, away from the rush of the city. He was also very skilled at wood carvings; he had made several beautiful items during his time being retired.
During his retirement, Vinny enjoyed going to his grandson's Junior hockey games and practices, he was always amazed at Little Vinny's skill when it came just to the ice skating, let alone the playing of hockey on the ice. Vinny began to fall in love with jeeps, which would help him get to the outdoors faster and would be fun at the same time
Vinny loved his family more than life itself. He was very proud dad of his children, watching his youngest son, Reidar, navigate college, graduating and becoming the man he is. Melissa, his oldest daughter, being the awesome mom, she is, raising a wonderful grandson like Little Vinny, and spending every weekend off at a hockey game somewhere between Portland and Canada. His Oldest son Daniel, who has become an awesome father and grandpa in the course of 3 years, which made Vinny a very proud great grandfather. He gained strength from them during his illness and found happiness by watching all the kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
Vinny was preceded in death, by his parents, Louis and Agnes Composano and his brother Jerry. He is survived by his pooches, Pax and Molly, wife, Chrisana, his children, Daniel and his family, Melissa Hemrich and her family, Reidar, Kara Braun and Stepson Ryan.
