Obituary

Theresa Lindgren was born on December 17, 1939 in Stanwood, Washington to Adolph and Bertha Joergenson.  In 1962 Theresa's childhood dream came true when she became a stewardess for Northwest Airlines.  She loved to travel and the time she spent flying remained a source of pride and joy to her until the end of her life.  In 1965, Theresa married Melvin "Swede" Lindgren.  Swede and Theresa settled in Helena, MT and had one daughter, Teri.  Theresa was primarily a stay-at-home mother as Swede was a government pilot and traveled frequently.  Theresa was active at St. John's Lutheran Church in Helena and enjoyed serving on the Worship & Music Committee, singing in the choir, arranging Vacation Bible School, and playing the pipe organ.  When Swede retired they had hoped to snow-bird and travel, but did not have much time as his battle with cancer ended in 2005.   After his death, Theresa permanently moved back to the Stanwood area and until her death she spent much of her time with her daughter.  She endured health conditions over recent years which impaired her mobility and a stroke claimed her life on February 17, 2018.  Mom missed Daddy more and more as the years went by and now they are finally together again.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, aunts, uncles and cousins.  She is survived by her daughter, brother-in-law and his family, and several cousins.

There will be no service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Helena, MT or Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Stanwood, WA or the ASPCA.
