Teri Rosendahl
December 17, 1952 – May 27, 2013
Teri Rosendahl passed away at home with family by her side on Memorial Day after an almost 2 year battle with cancer. She was 60 years old. Teri grew up in Bothell and graduated fromInglemoor High School in 1971. She married Doug Rosendahlin 1976 and eventually moved to Stanwood where they lived for many years. Together they owned several restaurants, including Country Cafe, Big Doug's, and most recently Doug's RockinHamburger House. Teri did all the baking at their restaurantsincluding bread, hamburger buns, pies and biscuits that had many regular customers coming in for years. Teri's otherpassion in life was Hawaiian dance. She started taking hula lessons with her daughters in 1983 and eventually became a teacher forming her own Halau: "Halau Hula O' Ka Hale'Aina". She and her troupe frequently performed for local nursing homes and retirement homes as well as other functions. In recent years, Teri also owned the gift shop "Tropical Teri's" where she featured gifts from the islands and also taught her lessons to anyone willing to learn. She also worked at Angel of the Winds Casino in their café. Teri was a woman of many talents and will be missed by many. She is survived by her parents Norma and Hal Siemer, husband Doug, sister Geri (Bud) Garniss, brother Hunter (Kim) Siemer, and daughters Erica (Bruce) McKinneyand Allison Rosendahl. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday July 13 at 2pm at St. James Lutheran Church at 19510 Bothell-Everett Hwy. Bothell, WA.
