Stanley William Gerke
November 4, 1944 - March 23, 2010
Stanley William Gerke, 65, of Camano Island will be remembered as a loving husband, father, friend and adoring grandfather. Stan passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, March 23rd.
Stan is survived by his wife Anne Ross Gerke, his sons Brian and Kevin, daughters-in-law Kathy and Colleen and grandchildren Jason, Danielle and Patrick.
He was preceded in death by Jan Gerke, his sister Wanda Flanagan and his parents Edna and Mervin Gerke.
Stan was born in Billings, MT on November 4, 1944 and grew up in the Billings-Bench area. He moved to Helena, MT in 1971 and worked for the State of Montana for 25 years. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America when his sons were growing up.
A special thank you goes out to his doctors and care givers at the Smokey Point Kidney Center and to the Camano Island Fire and Rescue team. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
