Ron passed away suddenly and went home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2015.

Ron was born on November 18, 1938 in Puerto Cortez, Honduras. He moved to St. Petersburg, Florida where he was raised until joining the United States Army out of high school. After the Army, Ron went to Whitworth College and graduated with a degree in Teaching. He taught Physical Education in Ephrata, Washington and finished his career in Wenatchee, Washington.

Ron was loved and will be missed by all, including his wife Christy Heiter of 25 years, daughter Betsy (Mike) Odegard their children Cole and Grace, daughter Rebecca Perry children Madison, Emily, and Josh, stepson Mark Vogl (Thi) children Caroline, Nick and Melanna, stepdaughter Heidi Vogl (Bernadette) children Kiauna, Megan and Ryan and stepdaughter Erika Vogl (Brad). He is also survived by three brothers, Richard and Alma Pineda, Julio Pineda and Ray and Gloria Pineda; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron had many loves in life. He was devoted to the Lord and spent time daily reading his Bible. Ron loved to share his amazing stories and make people smile. He spent time traveling, singing karaoke, and was a skilled crabber. Ron had a great love for coaching and watching sports, especially the Huskies and Mariners. He treasured the time that he was able to spend with friends and family.
His presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A private family memorial service will be held at his request.
