Ron was born to Leroy E Burnett and Maurine Burnett on7-13-1947 at Dee Memorial Hospital in Ogden Utah.

Ron graduated from San Juan High School in 1965.  Immediately after graduating he went to work for Utah Power & Light.  His first job was a ground men AKA "GRUNT"!  From there he was a tree trimmer.

While working for Utah Power & Light he met his best friend and love of his life Carol.  Ron and Carol Married June 24 1966.  Ron was then drafted into the US Army on August 3, 1966.   Ron did his basic training at Fort Lewis WA and then was transferred to Fort Carson Colorado where he trained fellow soldiers.  While in the army he received many accommodations and later served in a Top Secret Operation in California.  Ron was approached by officers at camp to "Re UP".   As proud as he was of serving his country he declined.  Ron wanted to return to civilian life to be with his family and pursue his dreams.

Ron was honorably discharged on August 3, 1968.  He immediately went back to work for Utah Power & Light.  Ron completed his four year apprenticeship to become a Journeyman lineman.  After several years he decided he wanted to be a dispatcher in the main office of SLC UT.  While working in the dispatch office the opportunity came up to work for Puget Sound Energy.  He interviewed and was hired.   In 2011 Ron retired from Puget Sound Energy as a Senior Power Dispatcher in the Redmond load office.

Ron is survived by his soulmate and lifelong love, Carol,   Daughter Ronna Wichelmann (Todd),   Sons:  Ronald Earl Burnett (Julie), Robert Lee Burnett (Tamara),   Roger Alan Burnett (fiancée Julie) and Russell Jay Burnett.  Many grandchildren and great grandchildren nieces and nephews.  Sisters, Jennielean Neilson. Ron was a devoted loving family man.  His entire life was stepping up to take care of everyone and anyone needing help.  His laugh and smile was contagious.

Ronald fought a long battle after his stroke in Aug 2010.  He had many ups and downs.  He was a valiant fighter.  He never complained about "why me" but worried about making it hard on his family.  There will never be another man like Ron that had a true spirit towards his family and others.
