Obituary

Roger O Lervick, 79, of Stanwood, WA passed away at his home on Lake Goodwin on March 17, 2023 with his wife, Linda, by his side. He was born on June 11, 1943 in Mount Vernon, WA, son of Arne and Ida Lervick. He was educated in the Stanwood schools and graduated from Twin City High School in 1961. Following that he attended Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa, where he met his best friend, Tom Tonheim. Upon returning to Stanwood, he married his longtime friend and the love of his life, Linda Kay Amundson. They just celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. Roger worked for his father's company, Twin City Foods, Inc, from the age of 16. He drove truck, worked in the employment office and then moved into the sales department. In 1973, at the age of 30, he became President and COO of the company. Roger retired in 2021 as CEO and Chairman of the Board.

Roger was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church, the Everett ELKS, Stanwood Eagles, Washington Athletic Club, Sons of Norway and a lifetime member of the NRA. He was an avid golfer and played in 12 Bob Hope Classic Tournaments in Palm Desert, CA. He was a founding member of the Skagit Golf and Country Club, also a member of the Everett Golf and Country Club, Bermuda Dunes Golf and Country Club and a former member of the Plantation in La Quinta, CA. In the 1970's R. O. Lervick Arabians was established and today is one of the most respected breeding farms in the Arabian Horse industry, having bred many National Champions in all divisions. Roger also served on college and bank boards.

Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Ida and father Arne. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He leaved behind his wife, Linda, brothers: Arne DeWayn, Stuart and John (Carol); children: Tammy (Jeff) O'Donnell, Steve (fiancé Myra Eclipe) Lervick, Mike (Oksana) Lervick; grandchildren: Cheryl Lervick, Amanda (Jack) Copeland, Kendall Lervick, Brian (Payton) O'Donnell, Kyle (Sarah) O'Donnell, Karl Lervick, Paul Lervick, Amy (Gordon) Mandin, Nicholas Miller and Katherine Miller; great-grandchildren: Rhett, Harper, Indie, Henry, Peter, and Victoria; brother in law: David (Diane) Amundson; along with many nieces and nephews and special people including, Judy Lervick, Dennis Wigren and 4 wonderful care givers.

A Memorial Service will be held at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Stanwood on Friday, March 31, 2023, 12:30 PM following a private family graveside service at Anderson Cemetery, Stanwood. A Reception will follow at Shawn O'Donnells restaurant (Formerly Farmhouse Inn) on Highway 20 from 2:00-5:00 PM.
