Robert Russell "Bob" Uhlmansiek, born on July 6, 1946, in Batesville, Indiana, peacefully passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 78. His family was by his side at his Camano Island, Washington home.

Bob was a graduate of Batesville High School, class of 1964, later earning his BS in Electrical Engineering from the Rose Hulman Institute of Technology in 1968. His early career saw him at Boeing Co. Seattle and Martin Marietta Orlando, but his true passion emerged at the University of Washington Dental School, where he obtained his DDS in 1975. He established a thriving private practice in Lake Forest Park, WA while also acting as a part time faculty member at the UW Dental School.

Bob was an active member of WSDA, ADA, Seattle King County Dental Society, and Dean's Club at the UW. Outside of dentistry, he was a dedicated seaman, with a passion for fishing and spending time on the water with family and friends. He was a long-time member of the Camano Island Yacht Club. After retirement, he and his wife, Nancy, enjoyed winter months in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was an excellent gourmet cook and classic car enthusiast.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Nancy of fifty-six years, and his three daughters, Amy, Kathryn and Laura. His family further includes son-in-law Nick Smith and two treasured grandsons. His sister, Kathleen Mustaine, also survives him.

The family is planning a celebration of life in the late spring or summer months where stories and memories will be shared in his honor.
