Robert "Bob" Paul Thomas Sr. passed away on December 10th, 2023, at the age of 85. For over 45 years, he called Camano Island home, where he raised his family and became a cherished member of the community. An exceptionally intelligent man, Bob was a Professor of Economics at the University of Washington and a true lifelong learner.

Bob was a Renaissance man with a vast array of interests and talents. He created his own vineyard, managed a hobby farm, and built his own house alongside his father. He also constructed large sculptures and had a profound appreciation for art, food, gardening, and architecture. His home is a testament to his eclectic interests, filled with treasures collected over 85 years. Bob had a unique knack for finding hidden gems in thrift stores, a talent that will be sorely missed by the Camano Island Thrift Store.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie Thomas, and their three children. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on June 8th at 11 am at Camano Lutheran Church. All friends are welcome to attend.
