On January 2, 2015, Robert Joseph Bourgeois age 87 passed away peacefully at his residence in Camano Island, Washington after a 12 year battle with cancer. Robert was a successful business owner, model train enthusiast and a member of the NW Morris Minor Club. He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy and children Debbie, Michael, Steven, David and their respective spouses Mark, Tess, Rita and Diana. Robert is also survived by his 5 grandchildren-Amanda, Matthew, Brandon, Mason and Morgan along with Tera and other numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert joined the Merchant Marines during WWII and was drafted into the army where he served in the Korean War. While stationed briefly in Seattle he met his future wife Dorothy Meyer. Robert and Dorothy were married February 14th, 1953. In 1970 Robert and Dorothy founded Queen City Auto Rebuild Inc. which remains a family run business.
Bob was under the loving care of Providence Hospice of Everett, he was in good hands till the end.
Services will be held at St. Cecilia Catholic Church on Saturday, January 10th at 11am in Stanwood, WA.
