February 28, 1994 – January 20, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Barnes, age 30, on January 20, 2025, in Bellingham, Washington. Robert's unexpected departure has left a profound impact on his family and all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Robert was born to Monica McAdams and Randall Barnes and grew up surrounded by the love of his family. He is survived by his mother, Monica; his father, Randall and loving stepmother, Debra; his brother, Matthew and his beloved wife, Alyssa; his sister, Elizabeth, along with her devoted husband, Zach; and his grandfather's Loy and Andy. Robert was a cherished son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend, and he leaves behind a legacy of courage, kindness, humor, and unwavering loyalty.
A graduate of Stanwood High School, Robert had a passion for life, love, music, cooking, and was known for his hardworking nature and ability to make anyone laugh. Robert took great joy in being an Uncle to his nephew and nieces, each who adored him. He brought joy to those around him with his warmth, his smile, and his generous spirit. He had a deep love for his family and friends, and the bond he shared with each of them was a testament to the strength of his character.
A memorial service to celebrate Robert's life will be held on January 29, 2025, at Cedarhome Baptist Church, 29000 68th Ave. NW, Stanwood, WA. The service will begin with a viewing at 10:30 AM, followed by the memorial service and graveside services. A reception for family and friends will immediately follow, providing an opportunity to share memories and find comfort in one another during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Your generosity will help make a difference in the lives of children facing critical illnesses. Donations can be made online at
