Obituary

Richard (Rick) Clendenen, 73, of Camano Island, WA, died August 4, 2024, at home with his wife due to sudden respiratory failure. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN, to John Richard and Alberta Clendenen.

Rick attended Indiana Tech College on an Athletic Scholarship and was a member of the Basketball, Volleyball and Track team. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Later he attended Wayne State University and received a master's in finance.

He married Glenna on September 23, 1972 and they had two children, Tracia and Anthony (Tony).

He worked in the Manufacturing industry most his career, and later on was a franchise owner of Two Men And A Truck in the greater Seattle, WA area.

He was an avid pickleball and volleyball player, motorcycle rider, reader, hiker, and adventurer.

Rick is survived by wife Glenna, children Tracia and Tony, sisters Lois, Carol, and Anita. He was preceded in death by his parents.

His ashes were spread on August 16, 2024, into Puget Sound by his Wife, Children and their Spouses. Memorial Ceremonies will take place on Camano Island and Cincinnati, Ohio at later dates this Fall.
