Reynaldo Nestor Candia III, 27 years old of Camano Island, passed into the arms of Jesus on January 29, 2021.

Rey was a graduate of Stanwood High School and was employed at Draper Valley Farms in Mount Vernon where he worked for the last four years . Rey was known by everyone who knew him as being loving, humble, selfless and having the biggest heart. His easy going personality made everyone love him. Rey adored his niece and nephews and loved to spoil them with attention and gifts. He was known for sharing recipes on Facebook and cooking any chance he got. Rey also attended culinary school in Texas where he graduated with a degree in bacon.

Rey is survived by his dad and mom, Omero & Becky Vargas, sisters and brothers, Gabriela Candia Simmons (Cody), Jordon Vargas (Diedre Twitty), Trynton Vargas, Taelor Gilbertson (Randall) and his niece and nephews, Walter Simmons, Jager Twitty, Jensen Vargas, Kyndall & Kasen Gilbertson. He is also survived by his grandfathers Nestor Vargas & Bill (Marilyn) Wayland,and grandmother Anita Candia as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Vargas, his grandmothers, Nila Vargas and Gayle Wayland, and his grandfather, Reynaldo Candia.

Rey was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, cousin, uncle, nephew and friend. He brought so much joy into so many people's lives. He will be missed more than words can express.
