Obituary

Randy Vernon Britsch was born February 8, 1948 to Lydia and Ted Britsch, and married Ruth Whitman on August 6, 1988.
He grew up near Lake Martha and Port Susan at Warm Beach. As a child he loved the beach and the woods surrounding his home. At Stanwood High School he excelled in football, basketball, and track, graduating with the Class of 1966. Football and the Seahawks were a lifelong enjoyment for him. On graduating high school he enlisted in the Army with his dear friend, Steven Schaaf, and served as an Army medic caring for Vietnam soldiers being treated at Madigan Army Hospital and Presidio Army Hospital. After his military service he attended the University of Washington and graduated from Central Washington University. Randy had an affinity for and connection with at risk young people and worked at group homes and most recently at Job Corps. He also worked in the building trades and was right handy with a hammer.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Lydia Britsch Hall and Ted Britsch, his brothers Pat and Mike, and his stepfather Dee Hall. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, a sister, Dee (Luther) Jonson, and sister-in-law, Suzanne Britsch. He also leaves 5 stepchildren: Leah (Rick) Schedin, Donna (Rick) Albin, Lori Stjern, Ron (Linda) Whitman, and Scott (Denise) Whitman, eleven grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends who sorely miss him. Randy was a uniquely bright spot in God's creation and now resides with his God and Savior in heaven.
