Penny Leigh Cox (Stephenson), age 78, of Darrington, WA passed away peacefully on March 28,2025.  Penny was born on January 21, 1947 in Thomasville NC and moved to Washington as a young adult to raise her family.  Penny loved the outdoors, especially flowers, camping, riding dirt bikes, music and singing, playing her guitar and if you were lucky enough to try one, she made amazing homemade biscuits.  She was a strong woman who cared deeply for those she loved.  Penny was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Agnes Hill, and her brother Kenneth, and two sisters Millie and Judy.  She is survived by her best friend Carroll Stepheson Sr., her children Geneen Cabe (Rocky), Carrol Stephenson Jr. (Angie) and Jeremy Stephenson, and her 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  Though gone from our sight, she will forever be in our hearts.
