Patricia Ann Laures of Camano Island went to be with Jesus November 25, 2023 at the age of 91. Born July 13, 1932 in Woodstock, Illinois to Vera and Joseph G. Huemann, the eldest of six siblings, she was deeply loved and cherished by her family. She was married to John Laures on October 24th, 1953 and had four children, John (April), Mark (Vickie), Susan Leorna (Sebastian), and Mathew (Laura).

The gentleness and quiet strength of Patricia cannot be described in these few words, but her faith and steadfast devotion carried her throughout her life. She loved flowers, a new haircut and ice cream. She will be remembered by those who loved her most for her handwritten cards, strawberry jam and canned pickles. They will watch for her in the spring when the tulip fields burst with color, when the amaryllis blooms in the winter, and when the postman delivers the mail. She was a soft place to land, a gentle hand squeeze, a soft kiss on the lips and a perfect cursive love letter. It was a privilege to have known her and to have been loved by her.

She is survived by her five siblings, her four children, 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Her life was full and she was content, surrounded and cared for by her loving family. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, December 16, 2023 in her home parish of St. Cecilia Church in Stanwood, Washington where she has been a faithful attendee.
