Nancy Ethel Tucker

Nancy Ethel Bergmeier Tucker, 88, of Stanwood, Washington passed away at 4:30 am on Thursday November 11, 2021 at the Crestview Adult Family Home in Camano Island, Washington.  She had been staying there to receive excellent care from their staff.

Nancy was born to Victor and Opal Martin Bergmeier October 17, 1933 in Ottumwa, Iowa.  She graduated from the Ottumwa High School with the class of 1952.   Nancy married Richard (Dick) Lavern Tucker November 30, 1952.  They were married for 63 wonderful years.  They moved many times, living in California, Oregon and Washington states.  He passed away December 2, 2015.  Nancy liked to bowl with her friends on her bowling league.  Nancy loved to sew.  She made many blankets for children of all ages.  She made her daughter's beautiful wedding dress and dresses for all the bridesmaids.  She made clothes for her children, grandchildren and their dolls.  She even made the Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls.  She loved to work in her garden raising vegetables and taking care of her flowers.  Nancy played many card and dice games with her friends and family.  Over the years, she traveled to Iowa many times to visit her parents, siblings, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  She enjoyed visiting and reminiscing with all her relatives and friends.

Nancy is survived by her children: Doug (Ingrid) Tucker of Stanwood, Washington, Linda (Jason) Manvill of England, Larry (Patricia Martin) Carter of Elma, Washington, grandchildren: Eddie (Kelly) Mills of Arizona, Robyn Kudo of Lake Stevens, Washington, Sean (Celesta) Carter, Nicole Baruth, Mindy (Tymu) Lapham, Aaron (Melissa) Carter, Jake (Krystle) Carter, a step grandchild, Tyler Thompson; great grandchildren: Kristen Mills, Brenden Mills, Aleah Rosenberg, Kaiya Kudo, Jaidyn (Christina) Lapham, Makiah Lapham, Aidan Baruth, Evan Baruth, Hudson Carter, Reagan Carter, Julian Carter, Anela Carter, and great great grandchildren: Zayden Rosenberg, Ezyiah Lapham, Nehemiah Lapham.  She is also survived by her sister Bonnie Rowell of Ottumwa, Iowa and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Tucker, her son David Tucker and grandson Andrew Tucker, brothers Virgil and Kenny Bergmeier, and a sister Marjorie Bergmeier.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021, 11"00 AM at Anderson Cemetery in Stanwood, Washington

Arrangements are under the care of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood, Washington.
