Mary Katherine Murr (Senn) passed away in her sleep on December 3, 2015 at the assisted living residence she recently joined to be near her daughter Janet in Coconut Creek, Florida.
Mary was born on August 17, 1932 in Mason City, Iowa to George & Katherine Senn. She graduated from Mason City High School along with her future husband, Chuck Murr, in 1950. After giving birth to their three children in Waverly, Iowa, Chuck's employment caused their young family to move to the Minneapolis area in 1966, San Diego in 1969, and the Seattle area in 1973.
During retirement Mary and Chuck lived in Sun City West, Arizona, Camano Island, Stanwood and Seattle, Washington. A love of birds, shells, multicolored rocks, coiling and walking the beaches of Camano filled Mary's days. She will be remembered for her gentleness and the enduring love she shared with her family.
Mary is survived by her children Janet (Paul) of Seattle/Fort Lauderdale, Dave (Kim) of Camano Island and Scott (Lisa) of Snohomish, Washington; grandchildren Brandon, Lauren, Kari, Carlyn, and Jeff; great grandchildren Abigail, Braydon, Sophia, Adam, Zachary, Justyce and Elin; step grandchildren Greg, Melissa, Adrienne, Levi and Josh.
Mary's sister Shirley Bailey continues to live in Sun City West, and her niece Carolyn Bogusz in Fort Collins, Colorado. Mary was predeceased by her sister, Judy.
Mary and Chuck, who passed away earlier this year, will be laid to rest overlooking Camano Island.
