Mary J. Jones

Mary J. Jones peacefully passed from this life into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 18, 2016, at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, WA.

She was born in Winfield, KS, to Raymond Harold Peterson and Helen Virginia Bloomberg. She attended Winfield Public Schools, graduating from Winfield High School in 1961.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother, Larry James Peterson.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell, of Camano Island, son Ric, daughter-in law Cathy, and grandson Ethan, of Bothell, WA, sister-in-law Kit Forman, of Charlotte, NC, niece Rian Forman, of Columbus, OH, and aunt, Donna Nichols of Tulsa, OK, along with numerous cousins.

She was employed by Dr. Thomas MacGeorge, DDS, at his Orthodontics practice in Shoreline, WA for many years prior to retiring in 1994.

She and her husband became snowbirds in 2000, spending their winters in Mesa, AZ, at their home in Val Vista Village. They developed many friendships and lasting relationships, while enjoying the winter Airzona sunshine.

She enjoyed card making, crocheting, researching family history, being with her friends, warm weather, and most of all spending time with her family, and especially her beloved grandson.

There will be a celebration of Mary's life on September 9, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., in the Wayland Sanctuary, at Camano Chapel, 867 S West Camano Drive, Camano Island, WA 98282.
