Mark A. Flores, 66, of Stanwood, Washington and formerly of Mystic, Connecticut passed away December 5, 2014 in Stanwood, Washington.
Mark was born June 17, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas and was the son of Victor and Nellie Flores. He graduated from Stonington High School in 1967. He served as a U.S. Marine in the Vietnam War and worked as a QC and QA inspector at numerous nuclear power plants throughout the United States.
In his early years, while living in Mystic, Mark was an active member of the Masonic Lodge. He was elected Excellent High Priest of Franklin Royal Arch Chapter No. 7. His hobbies included scuba diving and he especially enjoyed exploring shipwrecks and had a strong love of reading.
Mark is survived by his wife Rosanna Flores of Stanwood, Washington; his sister and brother-in-law, Amelia and Thomas Tranchida of New London, Connecticut; as well as many loving family and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother and father Victor and Nellie Flores and nephew Nicholas Tranchida.
