IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maria
Way
July 8, 1933 – March 13, 2024

She was born in Scheveningen, The Netherlands on July 8, 1933 and grew up with her mother and father and 10 siblings. She battled dementia for 5 long years. She loved gardening and swimming in the ocean. She was always there for anyone in need and was the one of the best Dutch cooks around!
Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Way and daughter, Karen Way. Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Audrey & her husband Jim Aquino, 2 grandchildren, Michael & his wife Gina Aquino, Jennifer & her husband Max Shoemaker, 2 great grandchildren, Quinn and Morganne Aquino and a host of relatives and friends in the US and Holland. She will be deeply missed by many.
Thank you to the loving Staff at Cascade Valley Senior Living in Arlington, Washington.
Hymn: Just As I am
Just as I am without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am – poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind –
Yea, all I need, in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, Thy love unknown
Has broken ev'ry barrier down;
Now to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Poem By: Jerome McCauley
If we could see beyond today
As God can see;
If all the clouds should roll away,
The shadows flee;
Over present griefs we would not fret.
Each sorrow we would soon forget,
For many joys are waiting yet
For you and me.
If we could know beyond today
As God does know,
Why dearest treasures pass away
And tears must flow;
And why the darkness leads to light,
Why dreary paths will soon grow bright;
Some day life's wrongs will be made right,
Faith tells us so.
"If we could see, if we could know,"
We often say,
But God in love a veil does throw
Across our way;
We cannot see what lies before,
And so, we cling to Him the more
He leads us till life is over
Trust and obey.
