IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marcia
Thuline
August 3, 1946 – April 3, 2022
On Sunday morning, April 3rd, 2022, Marcia Mary Lerew Thuline passed into the arms of Jesus, surrounded by all of her children. After exactly three and a half years, she joined her husband, Dale, in Heaven. She lived a beautiful life. Born on August 3rd, 1946, to parents Alvin and Hildarene Lerew in Tacoma, Washington, Marcia was the second oldest of seven children. She was considered the peacemaker of the family and her nurturing personality carried throughout her entire life. Growing up in the Free Methodist Church, Marcia was very active in Bible Quizzing. She attended McKinley Elementary, Gault Junior High, Lincoln High School, and graduated from Franklin Pierce High School on June 3rd, 1964. She went on to get her Nurse's Cap in 1965, and graduated from Tacoma General School of Nursing on April 16th, 1967. On April 16th,1966, Marcia married her childhood sweetheart, Dale Thuline. They were married for 52 years. Together they raised four children; Michelle, Michael, Dean, and Denise. Marcia and Dale lived a life of service. They were missionaries to Rhodesia and Transkei within South Africa, and upon returning to the States, they lived in Arlington, Washington where Marcia worked alongside Dale in his medical practice. She also did a lot of volunteer work for the Arlington Free Methodist Church as well as her children's schools and various activities. After their children were grown, they moved to Seattle, Washington where they attended Seattle First Free Methodist Church. They loved being a part of the Samaritans Sunday School Class. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, doing puzzles, and traveling. Marcia and Dale's most favorite achievements were traveling to all the US National Parks, all seven continents, and a whopping 74 countries in total. When Dale passed away, Marcia was deeply heartbroken, but she moved to Warm Beach Senior Community, where she was surrounded by loving and caring people; many of whom she had known for years. Marcia's family would like to thank the amazing staff at Warm Beach for their excellent care during her last couple of years of life. Marcia was preceded in death by her husband Dale Thuline, parents Alvin and Hildarene Lerew, and sisters Ida Baird and Lois Ferguson. She is survived by her children, Shelly (Tom) Sehmel, Mike Thuline, Dean (Catie) Thuline, and Denise (Lenny) Foster, grandchildren Samantha, Blake, Hunter, Madelyn, Ella, James and Emma Thuline, Benjamin, Jonathan, Caleb Sehmel, and Abbey and Eric Foster, as well as great grand-children, Brayden, Ransom, and Weston Thuline, sister Anita Robinson, brothers Elvin, Duane, and Keith Lerew.
