_{Madonna "Donna" Lou Mixon, age 84, of Stanwood, WA passed away peacefully at Providence Everett Medical Center at 11:30pm on New Years Eve, December 31st, 2017. She wanted fireworks to send her off.}

_{Donna was born to John Franklin Smith and Rosa Ellen Dick on February 18, 1933, in Mattoon, IL.  Following her graduation from Fremont High school, she married Donald Willis McPherson on December 11, 1951 in Los Angeles, CA and went on to have 4 beautiful children.  Donna and Donald divorced and she remarried Ernest Lawrence Mixon on July 12, 1974. They retired to Stanwood, WA in 1990.}

_{A beloved seamstress, singer of songs,sister, mother, grandma, and friend; she will be dearly missed.}

_{She is survived by her sons, John (Cari) McPherson of Fullerton, CA; Bill (Eileen) McPherson of Costa Mesa, CA; Dean (Tammy Thorgrimson) McPherson of Stanwood, WA and daughter, Jeanette (John) Hartwig of Cloverdale, CA; Former Daughter in law, Lori McPherson of Kent, WA; Sister, Millie (Ted) DeDen of Anaheim, CA; brother, Ron (Yvonne) Smith of Cypress, CA, grandchildren, Scott (Elaine) McPherson; Jennifer (Scott) Swanson; Mark (Teresa) McPherson; Jaime (Kane) Siegel; Gregory McPherson, Ian McPherson, Cullen McPherson, Daniel McPherson and great grandson, Jhett Siegel, and step-grandchildren, Jordyn and Jack Swanson.}
