Lois Mae Schei, 84, of Stanwood WA, passed away peacefully with her family at her side April 29th 2015.

Lois was born in North Dakota May 29th 1930. She moved to the Arlington area as a child and attended Arlington High School. After graduating she married Alfred Schei of Stanwood. The couple was married for 65 years until his passing last April. The couple had 3 children; Steve (Sonia) Schei, Roxie (Greg) Harrison, and Bruce (Teresa) Schei, all of Marysville, WA. They also had 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandkids. Mom, Grandma, Nana loved family. Her face would light up with her contagious smile whenever any of us walked into a room, especially the little ones.

She loved to bake and her kitchen always smelled of fresh baked goods and coffee. She loved church and the social activities that took place there. She served on the Ladies Aid for years until she was too frail to do so. She loved to shop and sometimes her trips to the store would leave Grandpa wondering if she'd gone missing. Holidays were her favorite. She would cook huge meals and we would gather at the table eating way too much and telling old stories. She was so loved and will be greatly missed.

A service will be held Friday, May 8th at 1pm at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Stanwood.

The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale for the kindness and caring of our loved one. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Seattle Children's Hospital.
