Obituary

Linda Jo Ann Brackinreed, 78, of Arlington, Washington, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, after a sudden illness with cancer.

Linda Marsh was born on February 21, 1947, in Everett, Washington, to Frank and Olivia Marsh. She grew up with a keen eye for style, and even in high school, she meticulously tracked her outfits on a calendar to ensure she never wore the same one twice in a month—a dedication that earned her the title of Best Dressed in her senior year at Arlington High School, where she graduated in 1965. She later attended Mount Vernon Beauty School, where she turned her passion for beauty into a lifelong career. For over 50 years, she worked as a beautician and she proudly owned and operated her beloved hair salon, Cinderella Styling, for 25+ years.

In 1968, Linda married Eugene Hitt, and together they welcomed two daughters, Tanya and Tara, into their life. A devoted mother, Linda loved being there for her daughters—attending all of their school functions and supporting them every step of the way into and through adulthood. In 1979, she married Bob Brackinreed, and the two of them shared a lifetime of love and adventure until his passing in 2014. Together, they explored the world, cherishing trips to Hawaii, Spain, and many other destinations that enriched their lives.

Linda's vibrant spirit extended well beyond her career. At home, she found joy by tending to her beautiful yard and taking leisurely drives in her cherished Thunderbird. Her warm personality was evident in the many friendships she cultivated, and she often spent evenings at the local casino socializing and sharing dinner with friends.

Deeply devoted to her family, Linda celebrated her four grandchildren in uniquely thoughtful ways. She lovingly created personalized scrapbooks for each grandchild and never missed sending them holiday cards accompanied with spending money, ensuring they always felt cherished and remembered.

Linda's life was one of beauty, adventure, and heartfelt connections—a legacy that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Linda is survived by her children, Tanya Moll (Alex Moll) and Tara Carey (Sean Carey), her four grandchildren, Ethan Moll, Brendan Moll, Liam Carey and Riley Carey, and her Sister, Sandra Guyll. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Brackinreed, and her parents, Frank and Olivia Marsh.

"Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal. But Love leaves a memory that no one can steal." A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 1:00pm at Gleneagle Golf Course . In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Arlington Community Food Bank or Stillaguamish Valley Pioneer Museum in Linda's memory.
