Leif Sigmund Holmes, 88, longtime resident of Stanwood passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 Leif was born September 9, 1937 to Elias and Gudrun Holmes.

Leif had many enjoyable activities. Playing accordion had became a huge part of his retirement, playing for many venues.

Leif is survived by his children, Lisa Phenis, Linda Inions, Leif and Debara Holmes as well as grandchildren Alan Phenis, (Jussi), Axel Phenis, (Kaytlyn), Jennifer Wood (Aaron), Maegan and Tommy Inions, Leif Jr. and Rane Holmes ;  Great-grandchildren, Ruby and Ivan Phenis, Madison and Ellie Phenis. Brother John Holmes, (Nancy).

Leif is preceded in death by his wife Susan Holmes.

Graveside services will be held at our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery at 11 o'clock on October 11, 2025.
