Leanne Kay Knutson, age 64, passed away June 17, 2022.

She was born to Marlen Sr. and Audrey Knutson on January 21, 1958, in Mount Vernon, Washington. She was the 3rd of 6 children and grew up and graduated from Stanwood High School in 1976.

She married Richard Hill Sr. in 1980 and together raised two boys, Richard Jr. and Daniel. She was a 'take-charge' type of mom, loved to get her boys out and teach them about the world around them.

Leanne had a passion for animals and worked with numerous vet clinics and horse boarding facilities over the years. She worked many years as a dog groomer and loved to help her friends and neighbors out with their animals.

She also had a love for quilting – taking after her mom and grandmother. She made many quilts over the years and loved to give them away to loved ones.

Leanne is survived by her two sons, Richard Jr. and Daniel (Chelsea); 5 grandchildren Hazel-Marie, Lily-Ann, Ella-Rose, Andrew and Asher; siblings Marlen Jr (Julie), Neil (Susan), Lindsey (Terry), Darryl, Tim (April) and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marlen Sr. and Audrey Knutson.

Though our hearts grieve, we celebrate the reality that she is in our Heavenly Father's arms.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 9th, 2 pm at the Mount Vernon Christian School Commons area at 820 W. Blackburn Rd., Mount Vernon, WA.
