Lawrence Leroy Johnson 3-21-34 to 4-6-21

Lawrence Leroy Johnson was born March 21, 1934 in Mount Vernon, WA. He passed April 6, 2021 in Mount Vernon after extended health problems.

Lawrence was a lifelong resident of Skagit County with the exception of his time in Alaska in the Army and as a commercial fisherman. He loved the valley and was considered a valuable local historian and storyteller regarding its founding families and its development.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Able and Edna Johnson, his sister and brother in law June and Darwin (Red) Nies

He leaves behind 4 children; Kerry (Winston) Jones, Kim Johnson, Brian (Carol) Johnson and Colleen Johnson as well as their mother, Patricia Johnson

Lawrence also leaves behind 7 grandchildren Kristofer Aguero, Clancey Aguero, Katie Stewart Perry, Whitney Jones Thomsen, Stephen Johnson, Riley Jones and Paul Johnson. Plus 3 beautiful great granddaughters, Laila Perry, Emma Perry and Olive Aguero.

Graveside service planned for 1:00pm, Friday April 16th  at  Fir-Conway Lutheran Cemetery

Arrangements under the direction of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood.
