On Wednesday December 8th, Kevin Kelly 75, of Stanwood Washington passed away unexpectedly in his beloved home he shared with his wife Jennie Kelly.
Kevin Kelly, "Kelly", was born in Queens, New York City on November 1st, 1946. He was born in Manhattan, New York. Kelly grew up in a military family and traveled the world as a child.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam war.
He had a life-long career in Local 302 as a heavy equipment operator, and the Inland Boatland Union as a Chief Engineer on Tugboats. His career gave him the opportunities to continue his passion of travel.
He was very passionate about his service in the military, U.S. History, he loved reading, and music. Kelly had a knack for falling into historical events, such as attending Woodstock, being a block away from Kennedy's assassination, and he was a first responder to the 520 bridge collapse.
He leaves behind a wife (Jennie Kelly), two sons, Sean and Ryan and their partners in life Mandy and Nic. A granddaughter Amber and two great grandchildren. He is preceded by his daughter Kandy. In lieu of flower Donations may be made in Kevin M Kelly name to the American Legion Post 92 , Stanwood, WA 98292.
There will be a celebration of life at The American Legion, Post 92, Stanwood WA. On December 29th starting at 1:00 pm.
