Bob was born at home on January 21, 1934 in Bellingham, Washington to Betty (Bye) Brackinreed and William Foster Brackinreed. He peacefully left this world on December 13, 2014. His mother passed away when he was just seven years old, leaving Bob, along with his younger sister Janice and brother Mike, to be raised by their grandparents William and Ethel Brackinreed.
Bob graduated from Bellingham High School with the Class of 1952. He attended Western Washington University for three years and served in the U.S. Army for two years, stationed in Georgia.
For 34 years Bob worked as an outside salesman for Brown's Beauty and Barber Supply in Bellingham, WA. After marrying Linda in 1979, they enjoyed many wonderful vacations together and also tending to their beautiful yard. In retirement Bob became very involved in the Arlington community. He loved working part time for the Arlington Pharmacy delivering prescriptions. In 2003, he served on the Arlington Centennial Committee. He was also an active member of the Arlington Lion's Club and the Stillaguamish Genealogical Society. He made many friends on his daily 2.5 mile walks around Arlington. When he could no longer drive, he still walked around his neighborhood. What a trooper!
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Linda (Marsh) Brackinreed. He is also survived by his son Gill Brackinreed and wife Diana; daughters Liz Brackinreed and Julie Brackinreed; daughter Tanya Moll and husband Alex; and daughter Tara Carey and husband Sean. Bob also leaves behind his sister Janice Flaherty and husband Bob; sisters-in-law Joann Brackinreed and Sandy Guyll; and cousin Brian Brackinreed. Bob has eight special grandchildren Jennifer, Andrea, Ruth, Max, Ethan, Brendan, Liam and Riley. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, beloved brother Mike, and in-laws Frank and Olivia Marsh who were like second parents to him.
Bob was such a kind and gentle soul. May he rest in peace.
"Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, but love leaves a memory that no one can steal."
