Karen Joy Torset Moen passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on February 26th, 2024, after an extended illness.

Karen was born May 31st, 1943 in Mount Vernon, WA, to parents Leif and Eleanor Sundberg Torset. Karen graduated from Stanwood High School and chose to remain in her beloved community by pursuing a career in the banking at Washington Federal Bank. She was proud of her Scandinavian heritage and was a wonderful cook and baker. She was hostess to many memorable family holiday occasions. She was a long standing member of the Stanwood Eagles.

Karen is survived by her husband Dexter Moen, brother Dick (Celeste) Torset, daughter Tina Oshie, daughter in law Tracy MacArthur, and sister-in-laws Sandy Smith and Dean Moen. Karen was a very doting grandmother to nine grandchildren, Craig Knutson, April (Shaun) Kelly, Jamie (Sam) Heck, Brandon (Kaylee) Moen, Britany (Eric) Love, Briley (Domanae) Moen, TJ (Lauren) Oshie, Taylor (Kaylee) Oshie, Tawni Oshie, 18 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of several close lifetime friends.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Leif and Eleanor Torset, brother Dennis Torset, daughter and son in law, Tammi and Jim Letain, and son, Darren Moen.

Private family burial will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Cemetary, 7630 Pioneer Highway, Stanwood WA, on April 27th, 2024, and a luncheon will be provided after, at 3:00, at the American Legion, 27112 102nd Avenue NW, Stanwood WA,

Karen's family would like to thank her many friends and family who visited, provided meals and stopped by to play cards these past months. Nothing went unnoticed and was greatly appreciated.
