Judy was born on May 22, 1927 in Helsingor, Denmark as "Jytte" to Soren and Alma Petersen.  She grew up in Denmark and experienced the German occupation during WWII.  At the age of 21 she boarded a ship which crossed the Atlantic to New York City.  With the help of family, Judy crossed the USA to Parkland, WA where she met Louie (Lewis) Andersen, who also was a fellow Dane.  They married in November 1950 and raised 3 children in Parkland.  She became a US citizen in 1954.  Judy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Parkland and enjoyed various church activities, entertaining, gardening, baking, sewing and dancing with Louie.  She took a course at Tacoma Technical College to become certified as a teacher's aide and then worked for the Franklin Pierce School Dist. till 1984. After Louie's retirement, they moved to their new home on Camano Island. They became active members of Camano Lutheran Church. Their retirement life together involved enjoying their beautiful water view home, various travel adventures in the US and Europe, entertaining friends, family and relatives from Denmark and many dancing events.

Also, would like to extend a sincere thanks to Golden Years Assisted Living home in Port Angeles where Judy spent the last 2 months of her life.  The caregivers were exceptional, loving and provided supportive care towards Judy during this difficult time.  Special thanks to Tianna and CrystalJ

Lewis "Louie" Morten Andersen died 11/17/2003 at the age of 83.

Louie was born at his family home in Parkland on 4/21/1920 to Inger and Morten Andersen, both of which emigrated from Denmark.  He was the youngest of four. He spent his childhood working on the family farm. Louie graduated from Lincoln High School in 1940.  Married Judy in 1950.  Louie worked for his brother Mort as an electrician and later joined the crew at Parkland Light and Water.  Once retired in 1984 he worked tirelessly to complete their new home on Camano Island.  Louie loved music, dancing, to joke and laugh especially when he was trying to remember his Danish.  Louie also enjoyed traveling, gardening and woodworking.  He was always eager to lend a hand to anyone in need.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings:  Mort, Harold, and Ruth.  Louie was supported by Skagit Hospice during his final days at his home on Camano.  Service was performed by Pastor Scott at Camano Lutheran Church.
