Joseph "Terry" Greer
November 04, 2021 Terry Greer has gone on to be with his wife Sandra Morris Greer in Heaven. Terry was born in Seattle Washington April 25, 1938. Terry is survived by 2 Children, 4 Grandchildren and 2 of 3 siblings. He served in the U.S. Navy and has operated 3 family businesses in the Yakima Valley.
Joseph "Terry" Greer 83, of Camano Island, WA, passed November 04, 2021. Terry was born to Thaddeus Whalen and Hazel Blades Greer, 4/25/1938, in Seattle, WA; then adopted by Homer Greer. Terry graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1956 and received a Business Administration Degree from the Kinman Business University in 1964. Terry earned his Eagle in Boy Scouts of America 1954. He married Sandra Jean Morris in 1968, and they lived together in Sunnyside WA. Together they raised two children. Terry retired to Camano Island Washington with his Father Homer Greer and Daughter Kimberly Christenson.
Terry was a Seabees in the U.S. Navy in The Pacific from 1957 to 1961. Terry returned to managed Home Lumber for his father until the business closed. Terry then started Greer Enterprises, owning and managing several rental houses. Terry was passionate about his crafts he sold during his retirement.
He leaves as his legacy two children: Kimberly Christenson (Scott) Camano Island, Washington, and Cameron Greer Eugene, Oregon. Grandchildren Christian Shoman (Victoria) of Prosser, Washington, Andrew Christenson (Summer Whittlesay) Pullman, Washington, Jeffrey Christenson and Benjamin Christenson of Camano Island, Washington. He also leaves two of three siblings: Steven Whalen and Maryanne Whalen.
He was preceded in death by Sandra Greer, 2003(Wife), Hazel Greer, 2004(Mother), Homer Greer, 2014(Adoptive Father), Thaddeus Whalen, (Father), Marilyn Whalen, (Sister) A Viewing will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, Washington November 14, 2021 from 1-4pm. The funeral is scheduled for November 15, 2021, 11:00an at Smith Funeral home in Sunnyside, Washington. A reception will follow at Sunnyside VFW.
