Obituary

John Karl Gjendem

Born on July 27th 1935 In Bremerton, Washington. On
January
27th 2012, heaven got a new angel. After a courageous
battle, John succumbed to complications due to diabetes.
John was preceded in death by his Parents Aksel and Elsie
Gjendem.
John is survived by his brother Dave Gjendem and sister
Jeanie Heembrock. John is also survived by his wife Sally
of 55 years, Jack and Kathy Gjendem, Patti Connolly, Linda
and Keith Fredrickson and Nancy and Dave Farley,
grandchildren Jennifer, Trevor Karli and Katie.
John worked as a log peeler for a time, as his friends got
sent
to Korea, John got a job working at the Boeing company.
At the
age of 25 he became a supervisor, in 1999 he retired as a
plant
Manager after 45 and a half years of service.
John enjoyed hunting, and McGuivering solutions to various
construction projects he endeavored.
John built his third home, in Manchester and managed the
construction of his last home, in the Warm Beach Area.
John also built several shop garages, where he could work
on his
Mustangs or 8n and 9n tractors, that he enjoyed wheeling
and
dealing with. John also enjoyed attending swap meets and
garage sales with friends and family, where he could
practice his art of negotiating. John was an excellent
provider and was loving to his family. He was kind,
generous, quick witted and looked for the positive in
every situation. His family will miss him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to Warm Beach
Senior community, 20420 Marine Dr. Stanwood Washington.
Services will be Saturday, February 4th, 2012 12:00-4:00
