Jeffrey Vern Haws 56, of Stanwood, lost his battle with hepatospleenic lymphoma on May 30, 2010. He faced his battle with lymphoma with a quiet dignity that left his family in awe.
He was born June 6, 1953 in Bellingham, WA. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1971 and enlisted in the US Army and served until 1974. He received his Associates Degree in 1977 and joined the Boeing Company in 1978 where continued to work there until his death. Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science in 2007. Jeff married his soul mate, Marjorie in 1983. Jeff had a great passion for traveling and music he shared with all his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Vern Haws, Nonabelle Marten and Stepfather Don Marten. He is survived by his wife Marjorie, his daughter Pamela Robbins and Tom, his son Preston Myers and Tia, and son Morgan Haws, and Sister Angela Olson and Dean along with 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and numerous Cousins, nephews and nieces. Jeff was greatly loved and will be missed by a great number of family and friends.
A memorial service will be held in his honor in the chapel of Gilbertson Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M, Friday, June 11,2010. Refreshments will be served following the service at the American Legion post #92 of Stanwood. Jeff's Boeing family will have a celebration of life at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 17212 Engebretsen Rd Granite Falls, Wa 98252. There will be RV Parking Available. Donations in his memory may be made to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Hepatospleenic Lymphoma research.
