Jeanne Norman, age 85 of Stanwood, WA passed away December 24, 2020 in her home with her daughter MJ Sawyer, son in law Paul Sawyer, and son Denny DeWispelaere by her side.

Jeanne was born March 8, 1935 in Seattle, WA to Richard Olney and Wilhelmine Forbes. Jeanne was the youngest of three children and had two brothers Kenny Forbes and Donald Olney. The family settled in Bellingham, WA where Jeanne attended Assumption Catholic Grade School and then Bellingham High School where she graduated in 1953. Jeanne was married after high school and became a mother to Denny and MJ, then became a single parent in 1964 and supported her two children and herself as a meter maid for the Bellingham Police Department for several years.

Jeanne has four grandchildren, Allison Glasunow, Jessica Ranger, Sean DeWispelaere, and Stephen Walline. She has one great granddaughter Elouise Glasunow.

Jeanne had a kind heart and always put family and friends first and truly loved to help if anyone needed something, she was usually first in line to offer. She also loved animals, she always felt they were a gift that God gave to be cherished. She loved her wild birds at her home and loved feeding them and admiring their beauty.

Jeanne loved to make people laugh and she did that many times over with friends and people that she had many times just met. Jeanne had many gifts, but none meant more to her than the love that she had for her family. She had a strong faith and love for her Heavenly Father. So, we her family and friends know that she is with God and she is joyful and at peace.
