Obituary

On Thursday December 23th, Jim Halverson 78, of Stanwood Washington passed away from complications of having cancer.

Jim Halverson was born in Everett, Washington on October 7, 1943. He graduated from Everett High School. He joined the Army in 1966. He traveled to Germany where he worked as a personal escort for a Colonel. He enjoyed his time in Germany.

He spent most of his work life driving, first school bus and then for First Transit until his retirement in 2017.

Shortly before his retirement Jim became interested in stained glass. He took classes and enjoyed making pieces for their home as well as pieces for friends and family.

He enjoyed camping...taking trips throughout the summer with their fifth wheel and two kitties!! He really enjoyed both of the two month long trips taken to Arizona, New Mexico (for the Balloon festival), the Grand Canyon in 2017 & 2019, taken with brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He loved spending time on the deck of their home on Lake Ketchum watching Eagles and the many ducks that would come to visit along with the fishermen on the lake. He would also take their little pontoon boat out on the lake for fishing and pleasure!

He leaves behind a wife, Barbara Halverson, and several close family members and friends who loved him dearly

In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society

A Celebration of Jim's Life will be sometime this coming summer
