Helen Alice Stonack
Helen was born January 7, 1920 in Seattle, WA to Everett Charles and Rita (Hancock) Hogancamp; she passed away November 9, 2013 in Stanwood. She married Melvin Stonack July 11, 1937 and they were married 70 years (her cousin Carol introduced them in 1936) She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin and grandson Michael. She is survived by her daughters: Maralee and Barbara (Bill); grandchildren: James, Debbie and Stacy; 9 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader, crocheter, knitter; she was active in the Twin City Wives Club, and enjoyed playing bridge and pinochle. She was adored by her family; she was so sweet and had the best sense of humor, even to the end. Viewing will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2013, 12:00pm until 5:00 pm and Thursday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm at Gilbertson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Helen's life will be held Friday, November 15, 2013, 2:00 pm at Merrill Garden's in Stanwood.
