Gordon J. Sande, 90, of Stanwood, WA died February 5, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 17, 1918 to John and Rena ( Nelsen) Sande in Conway, Washington. Gordon lived in Stanwood most of his life, he was a logger by trade. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, clamming, and Saturday and Sunday drives with his family. He and Olga and family took many trips to Canada where they enjoyed the beauty of God's creation. He leaves his wife Olga whom he married on September 29, 1950, three daughters, Patricia Thornton of Stanwood, Betty (Thomas) Griffith of Lacey, Washington, Linda (Bill) Duncan of Stanwood, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren as well as many friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Fir-Conway Cemetery with a memorial service to follow at Atonement Free Lutheran Church in Arlington at 11:30 AM with Pastor Rick Long officiating.
A time of viewing and visitation will be held at Gilbertson Funeral Home 27001 88th Ave, NW Stanwood, WA on Monday, February 9, 2009 from 12:00 until 4:30 pm and Tuesday, from 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM
