Gordon Dale Beck passed away on August 22nd, 2018.  Gordie is survived by his wife Elizabeth Beck, daughter Corie Gudgeon (Mike), son Benjamin Beck, daughter Abigail Gehrman (Jake), grandchildren Jaden Beck, Chloe and Gavin Gehrman, and Bjorn and Reidar Gudgeon. He is preceded in death by parents Jessie and Margaret Beck, sister Francis Kesselring, brother Richard (Bub) Beck.

Gordie was born and raised in Stanwood and was a graduate of Stanwood High School class of 68. He attended Skagit Valley Community College where he earned an AA degree and then transferred to Washington State University where he earned a bachelors degree in Small Business Management in 1972.

Gordie's greatest passion in life was owning and operating Beck Mill Company Inc. When he was not buying or scaling logs he was busy sawing lumber. He also enjoyed family events with his wife and children such as his grandchildren's sporting events, cruising around in his 33 Ford, fishing, attending sprint car races and Cougar Football.

Gordie was a kind and gentle soul who valued working hard, persevering when times are challenging, treating people with fairness and living an honest lifestyle. He was the type of guy that saw the potential in others and believed in trying to help people out.

Gordie will remembered always as someone who loved his family deeply, loved his business and cherished life.

Services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church in Silvana on October 6th at 1:00 P.M.
