Gloria Jeanne Moody (Filker) passed peacefully into the loving presence of Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on September 6th, 2023 surrounded by her family. Gloria was born July 3rd, 1942 in Hollywood, CA to Robert Filker and Barbara Moore. Gloria was named after a famous Hollywood starlet, the beautiful Gloria Jean. Gloria spent her childhood years growing up in Pico Rivera, CA, and graduated from El Rancho High school in 1960. Gloria gave birth to her first daughter Denise Lynn in 1963. Gloria met and married the love of her life and her best friend, Albert (Bud) Moody on March 6th, 1969 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They spent 54 wonderful years together. When Gloria married Bud she had the privilege of helping raise Bud's 4 children, Karen, Jenna, Sandy, and Jim. Gloria then gave birth to her second daughter Kimberly Sue in 1969. Gloria worked as an accountant until she and Bud retired in 1993. Gloria and Bud then moved to Washington state and built their dream house in Machias. Gloria loved all sports, but Major League Baseball was her passion, she loved the California Angels and when she moved to Washington she transferred her love to the Seattle Mariners. Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend who never missed a birthday! Gloria was selfless, loving, funny, supportive and so many other things, we will miss her every day.

A celebration of life for Gloria will be held on September 23, 2023 at 1:00pm at NW WA Pipe Trades, 780 Chrysler Drive Burlington, WA 98233. Officiated by Jake Krestinski

There will be a reception following with beverages and snacks.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
