Gary Thomas Millar died of heart failure on November 13, 2023, at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Deb; his two sons, Ben and Sam (Holly); three grandchildren Peyton, Luna, and Nash; and six brothers, Mick (Jan), Don (Katie), Scott (Ruth), Jim (Margarita) Dick (Shannon), and Rob (Angela). Gary was born in Crescent City, California, the middle of children. He was pre-deceased by two of his siblings, Judy and Christopher, and both of his parents, Stacy and Ruth. Gary grew up in Everett, graduating from Everett High School in 1969, and Western Washington State College in 1974. He moved to the Stanwood area in 1979 where he built the family home and raised various farm animals. For 20+ years, he worked as an inspector for Snohomish County, retiring in 2014. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 25th, 11:00 am, at Gilbertson's Funeral Home in Stanwood, with an inform gathering at the family home immediately following. He was a good man who will be sorely missed.
