IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gabriel William
Greaves
April 16, 1977 – July 27, 2018
Gabriel Greaves, 41 years of age, was unexpectedly taken from this earth in a tragic accident, July 27, 2018.
As a valuable member of his community he served with the local Fire department as their vehicle mechanic, working tirelessly keeping the personnel's equipment in first class running condition. He also was honored to be a volunteer with the Camano Island Fire Department.
Most important Gabe was an incredibly dedicated father. There was simply nothing more than important to him than his two children, Paige (20 yrs old and Gabriel "Olie" (17 years old). He often referred to them as his "lovelies."
Along with his profession he was an avid outdoorsman, camper, and hiker. With an adventurous spirit he and his buddies experienced many great times together. As a gentle, gracious fun loving man he was devoted to God, his heavenly Father and a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Stanwood. He never spoke ill of any person.
Born on April 16, 1977, Marysville WA, at age 10 moved to his current home, Stanwood WA. He graduated from Stanwood High School in 1996, married Tamsen Johnson 1998 and enrolled at Seattle South Community College earning an Associates Degree ins Diesel Mechanics.
He arrived at Larrabee Beach with a very close friend on the evening of July 27 to watch the beauty of God's Sunset, which he often enjoyed as often as he could. With a loss of footing and a 100 foot fall, death came instantly.
He leaves behind his beloved parents Bill and Debbie Greaves of Stanwood; his two
Children Paige and Gabriel both of Stanwood; his sister Anna Thornock (Adam) of Bozeman, Montana as many aunts, uncles, cousins and precious friends.
Funeral services will be held at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Thursday, August 2, 2018 beginning at 11 AM. In lieu flowers, gifts can be sent to St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Stanwood WA. or the charity of your choice.
