Frances Aleene Carter Lasater, 89, of Arlington WA died peacefully in her sleep Thursday January 25, 2018. She was born August 6, 1928 in Lynn Oklahoma to Buster and Stella Rushing Carter.  She moved to Arvin California where she met her beloved husband Ovalee "Frank" Lasater.  When they married they moved to Bakersfield California where they built their house and raised their three children, Avalee Lasater Fischer, Darrell Howard Lasater and Lawrence "Larry" Lasater. She was a Registered nurse in Oklahoma and California, then in 1952 she became a stay-at-home mom, the hardest job of them all. They moved to the Conway/Stanwood/Camano Island Area in 1968. They have owned and operated Conway Market, then Madrona Beach Resort on Camano Island. They moved to Spokane WA where they resided for 22 years, then they returned to this side of the mountains in 2001. She lost her beloved husband in March 2001. Frances moved to Arlington WA in 2012.

She leaves behind her three children; Avalee and her husband Will Fischer of Arlington WA, Howard and his wife Kathy Lasater of Lynnwood WA, Larry and his wife Leslie Lasater, of Bellingham WA.

Seven grandchildren Kevin and his wife Nadia Erwin, Robin and her husband Jason Blankenship, Chris Lasater, Belinda and her husband Bill Royal, Jason and his wife Monica Lasater, Sherri Lasater and Kaleen Lasater.

Fifteen great grandchildren, Joseph and his wife Michelle Erwin, Amber, and Dominique Erwin, Desiree' and her husband Adam Mackall, Michael, Taran and Kyla Blankenship, Jay Lasater, Tyler, Christian and Rylan Rice, Mahala, and Taylor Royal, Liam Bannerman, and Zayden Chinchen.

Five great-great grandchildren, Hailey, Braedon, and Austyn Sue Mackall, Nadia, and Eliza Erwin.

Her brother Carl and his wife Ute Carter, her brother Jerry and his wife Lois Carter and many nieces, and nephews.

Frances Aleene was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her mother Stella Carter, Her father Buster Carter, her stepfather Raymond Carter, her sister Audene Lasater, her brothers Clifton, Troy, and Kenneth Carter.

She was so very loved and will be missed by all, but she is with the love of her life, her soul mate.  Rest in Peace, mom/granny.

A graveside inurnment service will be held at 1P.M.  Thursday February 1, 2018 at Fir-Conway Lutheran Cemetery at Milltown.  Arrangements under the directions of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood WA.
