Ethel Marie Bronson passed away September 1, 2017 of heart failure. Ethel was born October 1, 1947 in Seattle to Frederick and Annette Bronson. She graduated from Shoreline High School in 1965. Ethel attended the University of Washington, marched clarinet in the Husky Band and graduated with a Bachelors' Degree in Geography in 1970. She began and ended her working life with United Parcel Service, beginning in Customer Service and advancing to become one of the top women in Management in the company. She trained drivers, mapped routes, audited, helped establish UPS in Europe and Canada and much more. After a health scare in 1994, Ethel chose to retire to Camano Island and enjoy her life with her parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and many friends. She devoted her life to family, volunteerism and golf! After her father's death in 1998, she travelled with her mother to many places including: Egypt, Europe, China, Panama, Costa Rica, the Caribbean, Mexico and Canada. She was the President of St Vincent De Paul Conference of St Cecilia for 6 years. She was active in both the Kayak and Camaloch Golf Courses Ladies' Clubs. She was on the Camano Island Water Board and was an active member of the UPS Retirees and the Camano Country Club. Ethel is survived by her Mother Annette, brothers Fred Jr (Tracy), Spencer (Terry also recently passed), Howard (Marlene), Charles (Kessley), sisters Ann (Todd) and Nancy (LaDeana) and many nieces and nephews. Ethel we all love you and will miss your fierce loyalty, unwavering support and unconditional love. Rosary on Friday, September 15 th at Gilbertson Funeral Home, 27001 88th Ave NW, Stanwood, WA 98292. Services are Saturday, September 16 th , 11am with reception following at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church 26900 78th Ave NW, Stanwood, WA 98292.
